Hamburg, Germany: Do It

Part of our RTW trip was a stopover in Hamburg, Germany, to visit our good friend Laura.  She had tried to get us to visit multiple times as we passed through Europe, and we were excited to actually make it there for a visit.  We took the train from Amsterdam and spent a very short (and cold) night visiting.  So this was a really SAST trip.

Eat it

Bulleri:  a cosy restaurant perfect for a winter meal.  There was a roaring fire outside on the patio (but too cold to eat outside!)

See it

A boat ride down the Norderelbe river is nice.

Shop it

Zero time for shopping on this one, but we did go to the big market in the center of town, which looks lovely.

Sleep it

We stayed with our friend in her apartment.

Skip it

Nothing to skip, as we barely saw the place (but it was nice to see our friend).
